Gustavo has lost his bearings about the entry of his house because he sees it a bit big and he would like to make the best it out:
"Hello, good evening, I would like to ask you for the distribution of my hall. It is very big, with a lot of burnt up space, I don't know if I could throw down some walls or to install a built-in wardrobe... I don't know what to do.
I haven't got too many many cupboards at home nor a storage room, so it is very important to have new spaces for it. That's for what I am asking for your help you.
Also I want to tell you that we wouldn't like to open the house door and see the whole open space.
Thank you very much."
Thanks to you for trusting in Plc. Gustavo has sent us a plane of his house and a couple of photographies.
At first we have rejected the topic of throwing partitions for two reasons: you have a wooden floor that, except any spot and if the images do not cheat us, seems that it is in good condition, therefore it would be so difficult to match the wastages if you remove the walls; on the other hand, we believe that it is feasible to save the radiator and not to make changes of installations.
We offer you four options that can solve the problem of storage and distribution.
Option A: Without doing absolutely any work, you can choose a convincing furniture, higher that the common buffets but not as a cupboard, 1,20-1,30m high, up to 2,00 meters long it would be OK and more or less 45-50cm of depth. It's an expensive furniture but well paid off by its great capacity, possibility of interior distribution and its decorative effect.
Option B: The solution of the built-in wardrobe that you told us, but extending it to the whole wall in its total surface, even over the doors. The modulation can be very flexible, leaving more decorative open hollows and closing with doors others for storage. If you are going to use it as a wardrobe you will need a depth of 60cm but we advise you standardize it and to make it of 40-45cm in order to use it as bookshop, shoe rack, folded clothes, household...
Option C: Here already we choose a more drastic solution, re-measure the receiver up to doing it of a few conventional measures, not less of 1,50m of width, and prolong the corridor doing a mini-lumber room with sliding door. It is important that you keep the interior tidy to optimize the storage. The door of the kitchen can be displaced integrating it into the corridor or to leave it in its place.
Option D: Finally, a change from the previous one and, possibly, the one that more storage has; a couple of cupboards in two sections that divide the hall of the rest of the corridor and means again a plus of storage for the bedrooms.
As last suggestion: we love the white carpentry ware in contrast to the dark floor; a look that, recently, is a big hit.
