Los nuevos modos de habitar y el redimensionamiento de las viviendas nos conducen cada vez más al re-ordenamiento de las estancias. Esto es lo que ocurre con la lavadora, cuya ubicación en el baño es muy habitual en los países extranjeros.
The new ways of living and the housing resizing lead us more and more to re-ordering of the rooms. This is what happens with the washing machine, whose location in the bathroom is very common in foreign countries.
Parece bastante más razonable situar la lavadora en el baño que en la cocina, pues es en el baño donde nos cambiamos de ropa y llevamos a cabo la higiene personal. Por otro lado, ahorramos espacio al no necesitar un cuarto lavadero o una galería de servicio.
It seems rather more reasonable to set the washing machine in the bathroom, not in the kitchen, because it is in the bathroom where we use to undress and carry out our personal hygiene. On the other hand, we save space by not needing a laundry room or an outdoor gallery.
El truco está en integrar la lavadora con el el resto de los elementos del baño:
- Podrá ir oculta o a la vista.
- Podrá aprovechar la parte baja de la encimera o ir independiente.
- Será conveniente dotarla con un armario anexo para almacenar detergentes y otros productos, o que contenga los cestos de la ropa sucia.
The trick is to match the washer machine with the other elements of the bathroom:
- It may be hidden or at sight.
- It is possible to take advantage of the lower part of the worktop.
- It will be appropriate to have a side cabinet for storing soaps and other products, or containing the dirty clothes baskets.
Lo cierto es que, si tenemos en cuenta este electrodoméstico (y también la secadora) desde el principio, mejor diseño y distribución del baño obtendremos.
The truth is that, if we consider this appliance (and also the dryer) from the beginning, we will get a better design of the bathroom.
