Hermes, desde nada menos que Bogotá, ha recurrido a nosotras para que le resolvamos una distribución que es todo un reto.
Ha adquirido la planta alta de un local comercial y la quiere convertir en vivienda, el problema es que sólo tiene un gran ventanal en la fachada y no es posible obtener más ventanas.
El programa que necesita es el de una vivienda para un matrimonio y sus dos hijas, con un espacio para estudiar; y como punto de partida nos adjunta tres fotos y un minucioso esquema del estado actual.
Hermes, from Bogota, wants us to solve a layout that is a real challenge.
He has purchased the top floor of a shop and wants to turn it into a house, the problem is that it only has a large window in the front and it isn't possible to get more windows.
The Hermes' requirements are a home for a couple and their two daughters, with a space to study, and as a starting point he attached three photos and a detailed sketch of the current condition.
Con el condicionante de la entrada de luz, debemos establecer prioridades, dejando aparte el baño que no necesita luz natural y repartiendo el ventanal entre el dormitorio principal y el salón-comedor, anexionando este último a una cocina abierta.
El problema se reduce al dormitorio de las niñas, que contará con ventilación forzada y tabiques lo más transparentes posible, pudiéndolos oscurecer mediante estores. Hemos concebido esta habitación como una sala de estar o de juegos, en la que las camas pueden ser de nido, teniendo el aspecto de un sofá por el día, por lo que puede entenderse como una prolongación de la zona vivida durante el día.
With the constraint of the light, we must set priorities, leaving apart the bathroom that doesn't need any daylight and distributing the window between the main bedroom and the living room which is joined to an opened kitchen.
The problem is reduced to the children bedroom, which will have a forced ventilation and walls as transparent as possible and can be darked by blinds. We imagine this room as a living or playing room, with trundle beds, having the appearance of a sofa during the day, so it can be understood as an extension of the living area during the day.
Pasamos a explicaros las dos soluciones:
#PLC1: los dormitorios quedan perfectamente delimitados y equipados con sus armarios respectivos. No hay un pasillo definido y la cocina queda suficientemente dotada con una bancada en L. El dormitorio infantil recibe la luz desde la cocina-comedor a través del tabique traslúcido y la puerta debería ser también acristalada, aunque podría no ponerse.
Let's explain both solutions:
#PLC1: the bedrooms are perfectly defined and equipped with their respective wardrobes. There isn't any corridor and the kitchen is equipped with a work surface in L shape. The children bedroom receives light from the kitchen through the translucent wall and the door should also be glazed, although it might not to be.
#PLC2: En esta solución hemos interpuesto los dormitorios en la banda central de la vivienda, entendiendo el infantil como una ampliación del pasillo; podría no tener tabique entero, con uno a media altura que delimite el recinto es suficiente complementando el resto del tabique con unos estores desde el techo que lo oscurecerán para dormir. La luz la recibirá de la cocina a través del tabique traslúcido sobre la bancada y la puerta del dormitorio principal debería ser esmerilada para favorecer la entrada de más luz desde la ventana.
#PLC2: In this solution we have brought the bedrooms to the center band of the house, being the children one an extension of the corridor, that may not have full wall, maybe a half one delimiting the room is enough, with blinds from the ceiling to get dark while sleeping. The light is received from the kitchen through the translucent wall over the working top and the master bedroom door should be translucent to make easy the entry of more light from the window.
Son dos soluciones en las que se está restando privacidad al dormitorio infantil, pero eso es algo que puede ser asumible en el seno de una familia. Por otro lado, las estancias interiores (baño y segunda habitación) están perfectamente ventilados por las infrastructuras con las que ya cuenta el edificio.
They are two solutions that are taking off privacy to the child's bedroom, but that's something that may be acceptable in a family. On the other hand, the interior rooms (bathroom and second bedroom) are perfectly ventilated with the infrastructures that the building already has.
