Un año más hemos celebrado la Valencia Disseny Week, organizada por la Asociación de Diseñadores de la Comunidad Valenciana (ADCV) y que tiene lugar coincidiendo con la Feria Habitat, y PLC ha asistido a unos cuantos eventos que, por invitación personal o por curiosidad, hemos cuadrado en nuestra agenda afterwork.
Empezamos nuestra lista en la estupenda fiesta de inauguración del primer After Fair organizado por Axthor, y para el cual escogieron el marco incomparable del patio del Colegio del Arte Mayor de la Seda, en pleno centro de Valencia. Un edificio cuya recuperación y puesta en valor reivindicamos desde aquí.
El Taller de Carola ofreció el miércoles un ágape para presentar en uno de sus escaparates la Náutica Chair, una pieza en rattan que rinde homenaje a la artesanía, aunando diseño y tradición. Está producida por la firma Expormim y diseñada por Mut Design.
Durante media mañana nos pudimos escapar a la Feria de Muestras, para ponernos al día de la actualidad y conocer las últimas propuestas en decoración e interiorismo, las tendencias de los nuevos diseñadores e intercambiar impresiones sobre nuevas formas de habitar que se imponen de modo cada vez más rápido empujadas por la realidad que vivimos.
Por último, también tuvimos oportunidad de visitar el barrio de Ruzafa, cada vez más lleno de talleres de emprendedores creativos que desde hace algún tiempo imprimen un nuevo carácter a este emblemático entorno de la ciudad, finalizando nuestra ruta en el nuevo Espacio Cosín, en la calle Denia.
ENG: One more year we have celebrated the Valencia Disseny Week organized by the Designers' Association of the Region of Valencia (ADCV) coinciding with the Feria Habitat Valencia, and PLC has been present at a few events that, for personal invitation or for curiosity, we have fitted in our afterwork schedule.
We began our list in the marvellous opening party of the first After Fair organized by Axthor, and for which they chose the singular scene of the courtyard of the Colegio del Arte Mayor de la Seda, in the center of our city. A building for which we claim its restoration.
El Taller de Carola offered on Wednesday a cocktail to present the Nautica Chair, a piece in rattan that pays tribute to the arts and crafts, joining design and tradition. It is produced by the firm Expormim and designed by Mut Design.
During half a morning we could visit the fair, to know the innovations, the last news, new proposals in decoration, the trends of the new designers and to talk with exhibitors about new ways of living.
Finally, also we had opportunity to visit Ruzafa's neighborhood, full of workshops of creative entrepreneurs who give an attractive new character to this emblematic environment of the city, finishing our route in the new atelier Cosín, in the Denia street.
